Paediatric Neuroradiology Task Force

Goals

  • To present and discuss new recommendations for paediatric neuro imaging (i.e., imaging in premature babies, imaging in spinal cord trauma, imaging in paediatric headache) in order to complete and supplement existing recommendations.
  • To explore existing imaging practices in spinal cord trauma and headache based on an extensive meta-analysis and to define appropriate imaging protocols.
  • To collaborate with members of the European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR) practicing paediatric neuroradiology to define neuroimaging protocols and contribute to the organisation of improved training in paediatric neuroradiology.

Meetings

The paediatric neuroradiology taskforce co-organises the European Course on Paediatric Neuroradiology. This course is a collaborative effort of the European Society of Neuroradiology, the European Society of Paediatric Radiology, and the European Society of Magnetic Resonance in Neuropaediatrics.

Neuroradiology taskforce meeting held during ESPR 2014, June 2014

It has been decided to launch a multicenter study in Paediatric Stroke. Therefore we call all interested members to participate in the design of a common protocol. Here you can see the proposed protocol and for your information a systematic review concerning this topic.
