This E-news letter is focused at the upcoming ESPR meeting in Barcelona, Spain (June 3rd-7th). During this meeting we will again have a JESPeR session which this year will focus at management in paediatric radiology
But don’t forget that, for those of us who are blessed with a good congress reimbursement, in April the SPR will hold its annual meeting in Miami (for details see www.pedrad.org). The SPR has acknowledged the fact that junior paediatric radiologists are important to our field of expertise and Rafael Rivera has been given the opportunity to organise several lectures and a social event. Looking at the program it will be a nice meeting. I hope that I will meet some of you at the SPR meeting.
June is rapidly approaching and the deadline for early registration is nearing even quicker. Don’t forget to register before March 9th in order to benefit from the early registration fee.
The program for the post-graduate course looks very promising and as always will cover a wide range of paediatric radiology with lectures given by renowned paediatric radiologists.
The program for the meeting can be found on-line via www.espr.org (by the way the website has been renewed and is definitely worth a look!)
One item of the program I would like to mention especially is the JESPeR lecture.
This year the topic will be leadership/management in paediatric radiology. The lecture entitled ‘Why do we need a strong leadership in paediatric radiology?’ will be given by Fred Avni. Fred is not only the secretary of the ESPR and as such knows more than all of us about the international problems paediatric radiology currently faces. But he also is head of a department of radiology in a large university hospital.
JESPeR Social event
For the first time of the JESPeR meetings sponsorship for the social event has been arranged. Oldelft and G2-Speech have been so kind to sponsor JESPeR.
